ABOUT

More  details

I've been teaching Active Birth / YogaBirth since 1991 and graduated recently, in April 2020 from re-training with the London Yoga Teacher Training Group to top up my yoga teaching!

Have a look at me on YouTube where I have some slightly roughly recorded, easy to follow short yoga videos.

Below is how things nornally run ...

Pregnancy yoga weekly classes

1.5 hours of Active Birth yoga and relaxation specially developed for preganancy and birth preparation. Zoom classes are one hour plus chat at the end - a fantastic time to link with other mums-to-be and lern from each other.

Start any time in pregnancy and attend until the baby is born.

The group setting helps you build a support network for the months to come.

Yoga for all

Following in the footsteps of Vanda Scaravelli, my approach to yoga is slow and connected, using the breath and gravity to find release and ease in your body.  All abilities are welcome, but there is a special new class for begineers on Fridays 10.45 if you feel a little unsure about joining a general class.

Normally, all classes are 1.5 hours long as I like the time to help you to get into the zone and give your mind and body time to unravel and respond to the postures and the breath.  Zoom classes are one hour long as that seems long enouhg to be looking at a screen.  Many class members take up the offer to attedn 2 or 3 times per week to build yoga into their routine and feel great as a result!

All classes help with general aches and pains aswell as with specific issues such as back-ache, tight shoulders, stiff neck etc. Postures connect with organs and glands deep within the body, helping you to improve your energy levels and develop resistence to illness.  Many people find the classes help with mild depression or sleeplessness.

Normally, small classes are in Whitstable on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings in my own lovely garden yoga room and in Faversham at the beautiful, historic Creekside Yoga Studio.

I am now running one to one private sessions in a covid-safe setting in Whitstable. £20/session.

Cost:

£5/class paid monthly.

£30/ month unlimited Zoom access.

Post-natal classes

Bring-A-Baby yoga and baby massage.

Perfect gentle post-natal yoga from 4 weeks after the birth to stretch and strengthen, with a baby massage routine you can learn to use at home. Suitable up until the baby starts to crawl away!

Bookable on request when there are 6 people to fill a class.

Held at Creekside Yoga Sanctuary in Faversham

Yoga Workshops, with a theme.

Monthly in my private woodland on Sundays,

12 - 2pm.

Starts back in April 2021 - or book a group

The 2 hours flies by while you deeply  unravel; exploring, with support, to your own ability; building up to strong asanasa; plenty of time for pranyama, meditation and guided relaxation.

Cost: £20.

Individual yoga is also available in my cosy small yoga room, taylored to your own health needs or injuries.

£20 for one hour for one or two people.

Yoga mats are provided at all classes but do bring your own mat if you prefer.

Wear loose, stretchy clothes (some leggings are too tight!).

I am a member of the YogaBirth Association of professional childbirth educators and insured with Balens and Balens. See more information about YogaBirth on our main website.  I also have a Facebook page for all classes (YogaBecky Kent) - click on the link above and follow the page for latest information and shares about yoga, health, birth and babies.

If the class times are not convenient for you, let me know your interest, as I can set up a class in other venues and at other times in East Kent.

I look forward to meeting you at a class,

Becky
